Volunteers
We give our valued volunteers the opportunity to work alongside and learn from our instructors.
- Volunteers should be at least 18 years old.
- When you volunteer, you should expect to:
- Learn or develop skills
- Be part of your community
- Gain a sense of achievement
- Boost your career options
- Have new experiences
- Meet a diverse range of people
You should be willing to commit one half day each week for six months.
Step 1
You will require Criminal Background Check (also known as “CPIC”) before participating at H’art Centre. You can find the online Kingston Police eBackground Check Service by clicking here.

Step 3
Contact our office, submit your application, and arrange your visit and interview.
Step 4
As a volunteer, you will be given access the first four modules of our award-winning MixAbilities Inclusive Arts Training Program. Community artists who wish to eventually lead workshops complete all six modules.
