We’re excited to share that Nicole Fougère will be joining our team as Executive Director, starting mid August. She is an arts leader, artist, and enthusiastic community builder with more than 25 years of experience in cultural programming, creative leadership, and multidisciplinary arts practice.
Nicole is known for innovative program design, warm and collaborative leadership, and creating spaces where artists and communities feel at home.
“I’m so happy to be joining the H’art Centre team and to help continue the beautiful, loving work that already lives so strongly in this community. H’art Centre stands for so much that I care about: creativity, dignity, belonging, and the belief that every person has something meaningful to express,” says Nicole.
Many of you may have met Nicole after the announcement at our April 21 performance of Both Sides Now, a co-production with PeerLess Productions at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. We were thrilled to officially introduce her to our community.
For those who were not there, we look forward to sharing more about Nicole and her vision for the organization in the months ahead.
In the meantime, H’art programs continue as usual through the spring and summer as we prepare for the transition, with founder Katherine Porter supporting the process.
We are delighted to welcome Nicole to our community.
