This summer, we’re planting something special.
Our Gentle Landings summer program isn’t just a series of workshops; it’s a journey from seed to tree. Participants will nurture their creativity, build community, and watch their ideas grow into something resilient and lasting.
June: Settling In, A Gentle Landing
Like a seed finding its place, we’ll get comfortable in our new home at Providence Village—familiarizing ourselves with the space, meeting our neighbours, and laying the groundwork for what’s to come.
July 7 – August 29: Seeds of Ideas
Over eight weeks, we’ll nurture creativity through workshops led by passionate artists:

Abi – Dance & Movement: Explore nature-based choreography and tree-inspired movement, telling stories through the body.

Kyla – Sculpture & Visual Arts: Transform natural and found materials into expressive forms, discovering texture and structure.

Syd – Soundscapes / Environmental Movement: Create wind and tree-inspired soundscapes through movement and sonic exploration.

Andrea & Aarthi – Creative Writing: Craft stories and poetry that plant and grow ideas, using language to shape narratives.

Rhonda – Visual Arts: Dive into painting, drawing, mixed-media or sculpture: use colour, line, and texture to explore personal and environmental narratives in your art.

Tessa – Visual Arts: Experiment and discover how materials and process can surface personal stories and collective meaning.

Stephen – Mental Mapping: Use creative tools to get to know our surroundings. Let’s plant our roots in our new home at Providence Village
Guest artists and out-trips into the wooded areas, gardens, community partner spaces of Providence Village will further enrich our experience, culminating in a shared collection of creative works—a vibrant forest of creativity.
