
Aarthi Dawson

Aarthi is a passionate educator and inclusion specialist with over 23 years of international teaching experience across India, the UK, UAE, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, and Canada. Her work is rooted in a strong belief in equitable access to education and empowering all learners through inclusive, innovative, and responsive teaching practices.
Aarthi holds a Master’s in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Madras, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Inclusive Education from the University of Roehampton, London. She has completed the Internationally Trained Teacher Program at Queen’s University.
Early in her career, Aarthi worked in a self-contained classroom at Sankalp – The Open School, supporting learners with developmental disabilities. This experience deepened her understanding of individualized instruction and collaborative support frameworks. At the American International School in Chennai, she led the setup of the school’s Learning Resource Center, designing systems for referrals, IEPs, and program planning to support diverse learning profiles across the school.
Aarthi is certified in Curriculum Design and Instruction through the Teacher Leader Institute in Miami, Florida. She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and writing instruction and has conducted literacy workshops through training from the Homegrown Institute at Columbia University’s Teachers College, New York. She also holds a certificate in Multiple Intelligences in Teaching and Learning from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, which informs her differentiated and strengths-based instructional approach.Across leadership roles in learning support, ESL, and inclusion, Aarthi continues to mentor educators, build inclusive systems, and design learning environments where every student is supported and celebrated.
