Your time to train: MixAbilities

Nov 23, 2020 | Featured Stories, MixAbilities, Virtual

H’art Centre will issue a call to community artists in January. The call will invite them to apply for the next round of our MixAbilities Inclusive Arts Training Program. MixAbilities helps community artists and educators effectively and empathetically support inclusive arts workshop participants.

Our goal is to grow our roster of trained community artists. In addition to our standard six modules, this session will include:

  • Our approach to delivering outreach to seniors in long-term care
  • Virtual H’art Studio’s Best Practices
  • An assessment process using our new Inclusivity Guide

Watch for the call here and on social media.

About MixAbilities
H’art Centre has introduced over 1500 volunteers, placement students, community artists, and arts educators to our approach since 1998. We launched the MixAbilities Inclusive Arts Training Program, a formal blueprint of our approach to meaningful arts programming in 2018.
