Kim Meyerman

Board Member

Kim Meyerman is a recently retired elementary school teacher for the Limestone District School Board who taught for over 30 years. Before that, Kim worked for Community Living, Easter Seals and Extend-A-Family. She and her late husband were also associate parents for KDACL and foster parents through CAS. Her two children, now grown, were heavily involved in the arts, especially dance and musical theatre. Kim spent seven years on the Board of Directors for the Kingston School of Dance and remains involved in the arts by being an usher at the Grand Theatre.

Kim believes that the arts should be accessible to everyone in our community and that the skills and sense of community brought on by the arts are unique and valuable. Having been married for almost 30 years to a person with a disability, Kim also have an understanding of many of the barriers that can exist in our community — and looks forward to contributing to the future of H’art Centre.
