I Say I Am

Windmills Cafe Exhibit

May 4-31

A group of H’art artists will exhibit a series of acrylic paintings at Windmills Café from May 4-31 bringing their original joy-inspiring work and pastiches of celebrated artists with disability to the public.

The exhibit focuses on addressing stereotypes about people with disability. Some of the subjects represented in the exhibit are visual responses to the question, “What is a person with a disability supposed to be like?”

During their process, the artists researched celebrated artists with disability and examined their own life experiences.

The combined result shares a diversity of interests, talents, pride, and power.

Windmills Café is located at 184 Princess Street in Kingston, Ontario. For more information about the paintings, please contact H’art Centre directly.
