Kathy Burke

Past President

Kathy has been an executive in the finance and customer service industries for many years, and has a degree in Sociology from the University of Toronto, She has extensive volunteer experience ranging across the arts, health, education and social agencies. These include the Grand Theatre Foundation, Ban Righ Centre, dancemakers and notably 2008 Chair of KFL&A United Way annual campaign. Often having sat across the table from organizations requesting sponsorship and funding Kathy is always excited by the opportunity to contribute her combined not for profit experience and her first hand business knowledge to such culturally compelling organizations as H’art Centre. Kathy has lived in lovely Barriefield for over 13 years, where just looking through her window, she gets to see the art of nature everyday.

Having spent many hours in dance studios and on stage working hard against what she calls her “unfortunately undanceworthy” talents (but loving every minute!), there is no question that the arts hold a special place in Kathy’s heart. She considers H’art Centre an incredibly special place where everyone, regardless of barrier, is free to discover and explore their own artistic passions.

H’art Centre is located below Good Life Fitness. The building’s main entrance is off of Barrack Street. Wheelchair access and audience access to THE BOX inclusive performing arts space is available through the entrance on Wellington Street.
