Able Artists presents “Arts & Long Term Care in Kingston”

On March 12, 2017, H’art Centre will present an information-sharing workshop called Arts & Long-Term Care in Kingston as part of our ongoing Able Artists series. Long-term care administrators, arts organization administrators, arts instructors, educators, post-secondary field placement supervisors, volunteer professionals, and seniors with disabilities are being invited to attend.

In this session, local inclusive arts instructors will share information about their recent experiences delivering arts classes designed for seniors with disabilities. Presenters will include:

  • Amy Booth, physiotherapist and dancer
  • Erika Olson, visual artist instructor
  • Jackie Mills, Founder of Sit N’ Dance

Then, attendees will take part in a session facilitated artists Sasha French and Amy Booth designed to gather insights that will improve the availability, affordability, and accessibility of inclusive arts to seniors in long-term care across Kingston.

A light breakfast will be served to invited participants.
